Haier HW140-BD14697WU1 12+1+1 KG Multiwash Washing Machine
The Haier HW140-BD14697WU1 is a 12+1+1 KG Multiwash Washing Machine designed for households that want to separate different types of laundry while using a single appliance. Its three-drum configuration combines a 12 KG lower drum with separate 1 KG left and 1 KG right drums. Key features include 3 Drum Zoning, 3 Chamber Smart Dosing, AI Wash and Direct Drive Inverter technology. This multi-drum design can be useful when you want to wash larger everyday loads separately from smaller or more specialised laundry.
12+1+1 KG Multi-Drum Capacity
The HW140-BD14697WU1 combines three separate washing drums: a 12 KG lower drum, a 1 KG left drum and a 1 KG right drum. Instead of treating the appliance as one 14 KG washing compartment, the 12+1+1 KG configuration allows different laundry loads to be separated according to their size and washing requirements.
3 Drum Zoning
3 Drum Zoning is the defining feature of this Multiwash model. The three independent drum areas allow users to separate different categories of laundry rather than placing everything into one drum. This can be particularly useful for households that prefer to keep everyday clothing, smaller garments and other suitable laundry loads separate.
3 Chamber Smart Dosing
The 3 Chamber Smart Dosing system is designed to manage detergent dispensing for the machine's multi-drum washing setup. Smart dosing reduces the need to manually measure detergent for every suitable cycle and adds convenience when using different drums for different laundry requirements.
AI Wash
AI Wash adds intelligent washing control to the HW140-BD14697WU1. It supports automatic adjustment of suitable washing parameters according to the selected laundry conditions, giving users an additional level of automation for everyday washing.
Direct Drive Inverter
The Direct Drive Inverter system is designed to provide controlled motor operation without relying on a conventional belt-driven arrangement. This motor technology is an important feature to consider when comparing premium multi-drum washing machines intended for regular household use.
Separate Washing Programs for Different Drums
The multi-drum design provides dedicated programme options for the individual drum sections. This gives users greater flexibility when separating laundry by load size, garment type or washing requirement. Always select a programme appropriate for the fabric care instructions of the items being washed.
Wi-Fi & Haismart App Connectivity
Wi-Fi connectivity enables supported smart functions through the Haismart app. This provides an additional connected-control option for customers who prefer managing compatible washing-machine functions from a mobile device.

What needs checking before installing HW140-BD14697WU1?
Check water-inlet and drain arrangements, a level floor and the model's electrical requirements. Follow the manual for transport restraints and permitted filter and detergent-drawer cleaning; use qualified help for faults.
Which motor is used in HW140-BD14697WU1?
HW140-BD14697WU1: Motor Type — Direct Motion / Direct Drive. Follow the recommended load and maintenance guidance; the motor type does not mean maintenance-free operation.
Is there a drum-cleaning programme on HW140-BD14697WU1?
HW140-BD14697WU1: Drum Clean Program — Yes. Use the manual's drum-clean procedure and cleaning products; do not add laundry to a cleaning cycle unless instructed.
Will HW140-BD14697WU1 fit in the space I have?
Listed appliance dimensions: Physical Specifications — Net Dimension (W × D × H): 600 × 570 × 1070 mm. These are not installation clearances. Allow the manual's ventilation and access space, and measure doorways before delivery.
What warranty coverage is listed for HW140-BD14697WU1?
